The inaugural Hong Kong Cup - Short Track Speed Skating is the first-of-its kind in Hong Kong –– a full Short Track Speed Skating competition with international game rules.The competition will be on 26 December from 9:00am to 7:00pm at the DB Ice Rink. The first ever Hong Kong Cup 2022 will be having some of the finest Olympic star-studded athletes joining the competition, including Sidney Chu, the flag bearer at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China; silver winner of the 1,000m and bronze winner of the 500m at the Asian Championships in 2019. Wan Chuang, current coach of the Hong Kong Short Track Speed Skating team and visiting head coach of the Hong Kong Speed Skating Academy; and Kim Sun Tae, former Korean national team head coach at the 2018 Winter Olympics and personally coached numerous Olympic champions such as Viktor An, Zhou Yang and more will here to support the Hong Kong Cup and the Olympic Stars Training Camp. All are welcome to come and cheer on the spectator area.
