Over the past five years, we have grown from an international-standard ice rink into Hong Kong's flagship ice sports landmark.
2021 Grand opening | HK's first figure skating harness system, UV-disinfected skate storage room, and zero-emission electric Zamboni ice resurfacer
2022 First international-standard short track speed skating programme (with Winter Olympian Sidney Chu) + inaugural Hong Kong Cup short track speed skating tournament
2023 Hosted Skate Asia 2023 | 1,750 skaters from 46 ice rinks — Asia's largest amateur figure skating competition
2024 First ISI Hong Kong Invitational + DB Open Figure Skating Challenge
2025 ISI Invitational expanded to 470 international skaters, and co-hosted multiple international ice hockey tournaments with long-time partner Junior Tigers
2026 Hong Kong hosted three IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship events for the first time in Discovery Bay, plus the third ISI Hong Kong Invitational in June —marking Hong Kong's first time hosting multiple international ice sports events in close succession
We also launched Hong Kong's first "Frozen Canvas" ice painting activity, and have nurtured countless young skating stars, bringing more people into the world of ice sports. Thank you to every coach, student, parent, and everyone who supports ice sports.
To celebrate our 5th anniversary, we've prepared online + on-ice activities – come join the fun!
